Block Blast is built around a simple idea: place shapes on a small grid and keep the board from filling up. The play area is an 8×8 board, and each turn gives you three blocks. Every block has a different shape and color, so the space you leave on the grid matters.

Drag a shape onto any spot where it fits. When you manage to fill a full row or column, the line disappears, and your score goes up. You also receive points just for placing pieces. If two lines clear at the same time, or if you clear lines several moves in a row, the score grows faster.
It helps to think about space before dropping a block. Many players run into trouble after crowding the middle of the grid too early. Large shapes need open areas, so leaving some breathing room in the center can save a run that might otherwise end quickly.
The round continues until none of the three shapes can be placed anywhere. Because of that, clearing lines regularly is important. Some moves are about setting up larger combinations, while others are simply about making sure the board stays playable. Balancing those two approaches usually leads to better scores.
