In Noillirk, knowing a lot of facts won't necessarily help you win. This browser game asks you to guess the answer most people would give to a question, not the cleverest or most unusual one. You might see a prompt like “Name something you wouldn't want to step on” and have only a few seconds to type your response. The game uses survey results from 100 people, so an answer that seems obvious to you may not be the one sitting at the top of the board.
A tiny pink krill hangs beneath a bunch of balloons beside a quiet pond. Each answer earns points based on its position among the nine survey responses. The top answer is worth 100 points, while less popular answers earn smaller amounts. Even a valid response that barely anyone mentioned can still give you four points.
As your score grows, the balloons carry the krill higher. It drifts past the trees, climbs through the clouds, and eventually heads beyond Earth's atmosphere. A seven-question Classic Climb gives you up to 700 points if you manage to guess every top answer.
Noillirk has a few ways to play. Daily Climb gives everyone the same seven questions, making it possible to compare scores on a shared leaderboard. Classic offers a casual run through older prompts, while Endless Survival keeps going until you run out of lives or balloons.
Want to see how your friends think? Climb Together lets up to 30 players join a room and answer the same prompts against the same timer. Once the clock runs out, the game reveals the leading survey answers, giving everyone a chance to see how close their guesses came to the crowd.
The trick is to avoid overthinking. Noillirk rewards answers that spring to mind quickly for lots of people. Sometimes the plain, predictable guess is worth far more than the unusual one.
