PokéBonk throws you into a 3D arena where wild Pokémon keep coming, and standing still for too long is asking for trouble. You choose a Pokémon and fight through growing waves of enemies while your attacks fire automatically. Jumping, dashing, gliding, and finding room to move become essential once the arena starts filling up.
Defeated enemies drop EXP, which lets you level up and pick from a set of upgrade cards. Some teach new moves, others improve attacks you already have, and Vitamins boost stats such as speed, attack power, or money gain. Your Pokémon can even evolve during a run when the right requirements are met, turning a struggling fighter into a much bigger threat.
Classic Mode gives each run a clear goal. You explore maps divided into zones, build your strength over roughly ten minutes, and search for an unknown statue or portal that awakens a powerful Guardian. Beat the boss and push forward toward the final stage, where a Legendary Pokémon awaits.
Survival Mode takes away that finish line. The waves keep coming, and the challenge is to last as long as possible while chasing higher survival milestones and global scores. You can also explore the arena for Poké Balls containing items or activate unknown statues to enter dangerous challenge zones in exchange for major upgrades.
PokéBonk has 79 base starter forms to discover. Research Points gradually fill research bars for wild Pokémon, and once the requirements are met, those creatures can appear in future runs. Catching them permanently adds them to your playable roster.
Money collected during battles has uses beyond the current run, too. Take it back to the Laboratory to purchase permanent stat boosts, change starting equipment, or unlock a permanent fourth move slot. Each attempt gives you another chance to find a new Pokémon, try a different build, and get further than before. Even a failed run can leave you better prepared for the next one.
